Ramstein welcomes new J-model C-130
Minutes after departure from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, Tech. Sgt. Greg Everett, a C-130J Super Hercules loadmaster, performs a visual inspection of the wings and engines of a new J-model with fewer than 24 hrs of logged flight time. The aircraft was completing the last leg of its trans-Atlantic journey from the aircraft assembly plant in Marietta, Ga. to its new home station at Ramstein AB, Germany. . This J-model is the first of 14 aircraft that are scheduled to arrive at Ramstein over the next 12 months to replace the older E-models there. (Defense Department photo/Master Sgt. Scott Wagers)
