Staff Sgt. Jason Hopper uses a cement-finishing tool called a bull float Feb. 15 to even out the surface of a concrete pad during a construction project at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. He helped complete a 76-meter concrete pad. Sergeant Hopper, a native of Strongs, Mich., is a pavement and construction equipment operator with the 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron and is deployed from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.
