Airmen, Soldiers fight
Senior Airman Michael Brooks and Army Pvt. John Carduff engage in hand-to-hand combat Feb. 14 at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea. This training is part of the Army warrior ethos. The training is now offered to Airmen here to enhance mission effectiveness between the two services. Air Force officials are currently working on a service specific hand-to-hand combat training for all Airmen. Currently, the Air Force's Officer Training School has implemented a new close-combat course into its curriculum. Airman Brooks is assigned to the 8th Maintenance Squadron and Private Carduff is with the 144th Charlie Company Air and Missile Defense unit. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Giang Nguyen)
