Clinic treats adults, children for cerebral palsy
Maj. (Dr.) Brian Faux (left) adjusts the settings on Andy Smith's implanted pump Nov. 12 at the San Antonio Military Medical Complex. The pump was implanted in July 2008 to help control cerebral palsy symptoms and has resulted in increased motor activity. Dr. Faux, a pediatric neurologist, makes slow, subtle adjustments to his levels every week and it usually takes about six months to a year to get patients to the right levels.
