Mountain Home blood donations help wounded warriors
Teresa Maughan prepares Senior Airman Albert Pierce to donate blood during a blood drive at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Mountain Home AFB members provided 25 pints of blood Jan. 23 to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., for wounded veterans returning from operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The center, experiencing an acute shortage of blood, was able to provide critical care to returning veterans until their supplies were replenished. Ms. Maughan is an American Red Cross phlebotomist, and Airman Pierce is assigned to the 366th Equipment Maintenance Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Megan P. Lyon)
