Volunteer program aims to go Air Force wide

Staff Sgt. Jewell Hicks Jr. helps Chad, a patient at a pediatrics specialty hospital in St. Louis, Mo., create a book about what motivates him during an Airmen for Children visit. Sergeant Hicks began Airmen for Children, a volunteer project that enables Airmen from nearby Scott Air Force Base, Ill., to spend time with children at the hospital. During the visit, Airmen playing with the children add non-medicinal healing to the children's stay in the hospital. Sergeant Hicks is an executive communications support Airman with the 375th Communications Squadron at Scott AFB. (U.S. Air force Photo/Airman 1st Class Amber Kelly-Woodward)
