Simulation center prepares medics for saving lives
Capt. (Dr.) Nicholas McKinnon practices drawing blood using a mannequin during a training class held in the Wilford Hall Medical Center's simulation center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Dr. McKinnon, a psychiatry resident with the 59th Mental Health Squadron, trained along several other residents from various medical fields. The simulation center supports more than 10 training courses in numerous disciplines with realistic training. The newest technology is incorporated into the mannequins so they are capable of life-like responses to treatment. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Robert Barnett)
