Hurricane Hunters patrol Gustav
An aircrew with the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron Hurricane Hunters from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., flies through what was then still Tropical Storm Gustav on Aug. 27. The Hurricane Hunters are the only operational unit in the world flying weather reconnaissance on a routine basis.
