AIR FORCE PHOTOS

The first aircraft to fly powered by a pulsed-detonation engine was donated to the National Museum of the United States Air Force Aug. 25. Researchers in the Air Force Research Laboratory's Propulsion Directorate developed the engine with in-house contractor Innovative Science Solutions, Inc., along with those in the Air Force Research Laboratory.
