Staff Sgt. Todd Slate guides an all-terrain forklift driven by Airman 1st Class Jesse Carlin who is picking up several general purpose bombs July 24 at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. The bomb components are stored in different secure areas until they are needed for assembly. The munitions movement team is responsible for storing and transporting the bombs. Both Sergeant Slate and Airman Carlin are assigned to the 332nd Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron. Sergeant Slate is deployed from Hancock Field Air National Guard Base in Syracuse, N.Y., and Airman Carlin is deployed from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.
