Students train on recovering an F-15 Eagle aircraft that experienced landing gear failure Oct. 28, 2013, at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. The training crews utilized a dedicated wire rope sling and a 55-ton crane to lift the aircraft to the proper height simulating placing the aircraft into a flatbed trailer to remove it from the runway. The students are assigned to the 362nd Training Squadron, Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery course, or CDDAR. (U.S. Air Force photo/Danny Webb)
