Emerald Warrior 2015

An 8th Special Operations Squadron pilot completes pre-flight checks on a CV-22 Osprey during Emerald Warrior 2015 at Hurlburt Field, Fla., April 27, 2015. The primary mission of the 8th SOS is insertion, extraction and resupply of unconventional warfare forces and equipment into hostile or enemy-controlled territory using airland or airdrop procedures. Emerald Warrior is the Defense Department’s only irregular warfare exercise, allowing joint and combined partners to train together and prepare for real-world contingency operations.
