Medical personnel train for trauma scenarios

Lieutenant Junior grade Jason Bond, a physician assistant with Combat Logistics Battalion, currently augmented to 2nd Medical Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, discusses ultrasound techniques with Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan Demegillo, a corpsman with the battalion, during shock trauma platoon training, June 23, 2015, aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., as part of a field exercise. For certain injuries, medical personnel need to look at ultrasound images to see if a patient has any internal bleeding. The medical exercise is being conducted in order to familiarize the medical personnel with their capabilities and equipment in an austere environment. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
