Ground-breaking female retires from Marine Corps
Master Gunnery Sgt. Diane Sharpe gives a speech during her retirement ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Nov. 6. Sharpe, retiring after 30 years, was the first female to reach the rank of master gunnery sergeant in her military occupational specialty.
