Maritime Raid Force Breaches into INTEROP 16-1
Marines with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, leave from their objective after a raid Dec. 10, 2015 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The raid was part of the Interoperability Exercise 16-1. INTEROP is the first opportunity the Force Reconnaissance Platoon, Amphibious Reconnaissance Platoon, and the rifle platoon from the MEU's Battalion Landing Team have to combine as the MRF with the 31st MEU.
