Maritime Raid Force Breaches into INTEROP 16-1
Marines with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, provide security for Marines with Maritime Raid Force, 31st MEU, while they conduct a raid Dec. 14, 2015, on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The raid is part of the MEF’s Interoperability Exercise 16-1. INTEROP is an exercise used to build a working bond between units quickly and effectively. The MRF and BLT Marines are with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
