The Air Force Research Laboratory XQ-67A Off Board Sensing Station uncrewed air vehicle, designed and built by General Atomics, takes its maiden flight Feb. 28, 2024, from Gray Butte Field Airport in Palmdale, Calif. The XQ-67A, the first of a second generation of autonomous collaborative platforms, proves the feasibility of this approach and demonstrates how wholly new acquisition processes can deliver capability to the warfighter more quickly and efficiently.
