Propelling forward
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Luke Baugh, a 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, performs a post-flight inspection of a C-130J Super Hercules during the Air Force’s 2025 Department-Level Exercise series at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, July 14, 2025. This exercise showcases how the Air Force exists to maneuver the Joint Force into any theater of operation to meet global requirements. The aircraft launch is part of the first-in-a-generation DLE series, a new way of conducting operations in a contested, dynamic environment to deter competitor aggression where able, and to defeat threats to national security when necessary. The DLE encompasses all branches of the Department of Defense, allies and partners, employing over 400 joint and coalition aircraft and more than 12,000 personnel across more than 50 locations spanning 3,000 miles.
