Air Force tradition
Gen. Kenneth S. Wilsbach signs the historic Bible during his swearing-in ceremony as the 24th Chief of Staff of the Air Force in Arlington, Va., Nov. 3, 2025. The cherished Bible — used at every Air Force Chief of Staff induction — carries the signatures of all predecessors, symbolizing the continuity of leadership and the heritage of the service. Wilsbach’s signature joins this long-standing tradition as he formally assumes the Air Force’s highest military position. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Stuart Bright)
