    Dover Air Force Base Airmen have a proud history of delivering help in dire situations all across the world. No matter the circumstance, these men and women can be on site in a short amount of time providing hope for those in need. The 3rd Airlift Squadron from the 436th Airlift Wing supported relief efforts for Katrina and Haiti and the squadron continues this tradition with the C-17 Globemaster III by transporting essential recovery supplies to the survivors of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
  • Innovation saves AMC $2 million annually

    The 437th Airlift Wing began modifying the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft with new mounts for the Electronic Flight Bag Sept. 25, 2017. The new mounts will increase flight safety in C-17s and are estimated to save Air Mobility Command $2 million in repairs annually.
  • Air Force provides aeromedical evacuation to dialysis patients trapped by hurricanes

    The hurricanes that battered dozens of islands in the Caribbean and the southeast U.S. in the last month left millions without power, food, safe drinking water and with no way to contact the outside world. The situation is devastating for everyone in the area, but for people undergoing dialysis, it is especially dangerous. Air Force medical assets provided aeromedical evacuation to more than 100 patients at dialysis clinics damaged or left without power from the storms.

Responsible for making critical runway repairs, the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron’s heavy equipment operator team ensures that the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing’s airfield is operational and ready for all takeoffs and landings in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
