Air Force Contracting (SAF/AQC)

The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Contracting is the Department of the Air Force’s senior authority for contracting, responsible for setting policy, oversight, and strategic direction for all Air Force and Space Force contracting activities. SAF/AQC ensures the acquisition enterprise delivers capabilities that support readiness, modernization, and warfighter needs through effective, ethical, and mission-focused contracting.

SAF/AQC operates under the Department of the Air Force acquisition enterprise and works closely with program offices, operational commands, and industry partners.

Air Force Human Systems Integration Office (HSI)

Human Systems Integration (HSI) is the interdisciplinary technical and management processes for integrating human considerations within and across all system elements. The AF defines those human-centered elements, or domains, as manpower, personnel, environment, training, safety, human factors engineering (HFE), occupational health, personal survivability, and habitability. 

HSI is the intentional, systematic integration of every aspect of human involvement into the planning, development, operation and disposal of systems, families of systems and systems of systems.
