10/3/2007 - WASHINGTON (AFPN) -- The secretary of the Air Force video "Setting the Conditions for Victory" made its online debut Oct. 3.

The 8-minute video, a follow-up to last year's "How We Fight" presentation, outlines the Air Force role in the war on terrorism and how the service succeeds in its domains of air, space and cyberspace.

"Sometimes a single picture or video clip is worth a thousand words," said Secretary of the Air Force Michael Wynne. "What I'd like people to see in the video is where we fit in today's fight. This new way of war depends on the often invisible contributions that the Air Force is making, whether in air, space or cyberspace.

The video features Airmen discussing their role in the Air Force and how it contributes to the Air Force's mission statement to "fly, fight and win."

"Setting the Conditions for Victory" also further defines how the Air Force provides the president and combatant commanders sovereign options in executing tasks, everything from delivering humanitarian aid to working alongside our sister services on the front lines of conflict, from "destroying a target anywhere in the world" to employing satellites around the planet.

In addition, "Setting the Conditions for Victory" outlines how the Air Force operates in its newest warfighting domain: cyberspace.

"The cyberspace warrior of the Air Force is going to be an Airman who understands the domain of cyberspace, knows how to defend it, how to exploit it, and how to deny the use of that domain for our adversary's use," Lt. Gen. Robert Elder, the 8th Air Force commander, says in the video.
