I heard about this when I visited my brother. He is a head of training for the base honor guard and said he has been working on it. I hope all is well with the family

It is not that unusual for Americans to still travel to Cuidad Juarez. We must be careful about saying this was caused by the drug cartels or saying something is suspicious. Let's get the details first before jumping to conclusions. There are many ways to die in a foreign country. My sympathies to the family of our fallen brother.

Many people believe they can travel freely without worry. Unfortunately, one lost his life finding the world is not the nice place we believe it to be ... another lost soul, another family in pain.

I hate to hear that. My sympathies to the family and the unit. Just a warning to anyone travelling to Mexico in that area. There is a big time drug war going on down there and its highly dangerous to be there. RIP to the fallen comrade.

Why are these guys in this area to begin with? I believe this area is off limits to GI's and has a history of cartel problems. Why on earth would they choose to go there? Something is suspicious....
