I understand the force's frustration, WRT, supporting airshows while constantly hearing talk about tightening the belt. But let's be realistic. The Air Force isn't going to stop flying in airshows and exercises any time soon. AF leadership will get rid of entire support career fields before that happens.

I love airshows as much as the next person, but with all the budget reductions I think they need to be severely scaled back. I realize that they promote a positive military image for the general population, but when you are faced with either cutting pay or this type of thing, Airshows need to be limited. This, along with cutting back on the Thunderbirds, Blue Angels, Tops in Blue and all the other stuff that does not directly contrinute to the mission, should be considered.
