10/14/2011 - RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFNS) -- Air Force officials announced Oct. 13 the 2011A Colonel Judge Advocate General Corps, Chaplains Corps and Biomedical Service Corps, 2011B Lieutenant Colonel and Major central selection boards selected 35 lieutenant colonels, 80 majors and 213 captains for promotion to the next higher rank.

The boards considered 297 lieutenant colonels, 541 majors and 266 captains for promotion. The results of the boards are as follows:

LAF-J - 12 selected from 24 considered for a 50-percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for colonel:
LAF-J - 2 selected from 25 considered for an 8-percent select rate

LAF-J - 1 selected from 58 considered for a 1.7-percent select rate
