8/3/2012 - JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO -- LACKLAND, Texas (AFNS) -- A sentence has been returned today in the special court-martial of former Air Force military training instructor (MTI) Tech. Sgt. Christopher Smith.

The seven-member officer panel sentenced him to be confined for 30 days and to be reduced to the grade of E-3 (airman first class).

Tech Sgt. Smith had been found guilty Wednesday of two specifications of unprofessional relationships with two basic trainees, specifically seeking to develop and conduct personal and intimate relationships with one trainee and carrying on a personal social relationship with another trainee. He was found not guilty of an additional specification of unprofessional relationship and of obstruction of justice.

This is the third completed court-martial in a series of allegations against military training instructors on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

Forced Not so much she sent him a friend request on facebook and went to his house. That is not forced. What he did was wrong without a doubt because AETC is very strict about this matter but forced I don't think so.

It's an outrage that he's gotten off so light. He basically forced sexual relationships on unwilling women. To me that's called rape and sexual harrassment and there should be NO TOLERANCE for it.The should throw him in the darkest cell fort leavenworth has and throw away the key. Maybe in there he will understand the meaning of a forced sexual relationship. I could only hope.

He should have known better. AETC is very specific about these matters. What a shame...
