1/17/2013 - FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (AFPN)  -- Are you a military brat?

AIRMAN magazine is working on a feature to highlight past and present military children and is looking for a few good 'brats' to share their story.

"Our goal is to create a product that provides a window into the life of a military child," said Preston Keres, the AIRMAN magazine editor. "Constant moving, living overseas, on-base life, parents returning from deployment; we want to hear about all of it."

AIRMAN's editors are interested in capturing the voice of military kids through photos, videos and even audio recordings. The deadline to submit for this project is Jan. 23.

"It doesn't matter if the photo was taken years ago, or if the video was captured with a smartphone," Keres said. "We want to you to be a part of this story."

Those interested in participating should complete the submission form here: http://airman.dodlive.mil/home/8871-2/

Participants can also send their photos and videos that represent the life of a military child to afmilitarychild@gmail.com.
