I was a MTI in the 80's and I was going to donate my campaign hat to the local ALS for them to display with other uniforms from the past but now I'd be to embarrased to walk into the school house with it.

30 Months and a Dishonorable serves him correct. It's no secret this crap has been going on for many years but has recently been brought to the light yet again. To the retired MSgt there's no need to feel embarrassed. You served your time the correct way and it is still respected. There has always and always be those few that bring a negative light on the AF which in the most recent years there have been Command CMSgts on down throughout the Enlisted Ranks as well as GOs. We aren't a perfect force and some try to act as if we are and no one does any wrong but that's a false statement. There are more scandals that go unheard of and unpunished but what can we do about it Most of the time DoDs answer to Cols GOs and those of higher ranks is It's time for you to retire so they resign and retire with full benefits in spite of their careless acts. In conclusion Military Justice prevails for some and goes blind for others

I finished my MTI duty as a Blue Rope in 2005. It's total shame how these dirtbag MTIs have disgraced the Corps and totally destroyed the image that so many of us honest MTIs worked so hard to uphold. My campaign hat is definately worthy of burning. What an embarrassment.
