Officials name new assistant to secretary of the Air Force

10/7/2005 - WASHINGTON (AFPN) -- Department of Defense officials announced Oct. 6 the appointment of Donald M. Kerr as the assistant to the secretary of the Air Force for intelligence space technology effective Oct. 3.

Mr. Kerr, also the National Reconnaissance Office director, will support the secretary of the Air Force in carrying out his DOD executive agent for space responsibilities. He will also ensure DOD and NRO programs, activities and operations are properly aligned.
