ANTHONY J. PERFILIO

Anthony J. Perfilio, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Director, Air Force Materiel Command Law Office, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He directs all operations and administration of a multifaceted field operating agency of Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, composed of five directorates and staffed by 84 attorneys and 33 paralegal and administrative personnel. He is directly responsible for resolution of all of the Air Force's worldwide contract dispute caseload before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, and for advising on Aeronautical Systems Center's major aeronautical systems acquisition programs, including program executive officer and designated acquisition commander programs. He is also responsible for legal support to the Air Force Research Laboratory's technology programs and Air Force Security Assistance Center's foreign military sales cases. In addition, he oversees environmental law support to approximately 70 percent of the Air Force's compliance, remediation and environmental management program, and he manages the AFMC ethics program and 80 percent of Air Force fraud remedies cases. He also oversees intellectual property law services, including patent prosecution, copyright, trademark, technical data, technology transfer, cooperative research and development agreements, and administration of the Patent Secrecy Act for the Aeronautical Systems Center and the Air Force Research Laboratory.

Mr. Perfilio entered the Air Force as a distinguished graduate of the Air Force ROTC and has served as an Air Force attorney at field and headquarters levels, beginning as a uniformed judge advocate. After leaving active duty, he progressed through civilian assignments in Air Force Logistics Command, Air Force Systems Command and Air Force Materiel Command until assigned to his current position in 1994.

Mr. Perfilio is an Acquisition Law Professional Development Program Level III managerial contract attorney, and has been awarded the presidential distinguished and presidential meritorious executive rank awards. He is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and Ohio, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States and several federal trial and appellate courts.
