DANIEL F. MCMILLIN

Daniel F. McMillin, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Director, Program Analysis and Financial Management Directorate, or TCJ8, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. TCJ8 develops command fiscal policy procedures and resolves issues on use of the combatant command-wide $13.5 billion Transportation Working Capital Fund budget.

McMillin entered federal civil service in 1983 as an auditor with the Defense Contract Audit Agency. From 1984 to 1986, he served as an operations and maintenance budget analyst for Naval Air Systems Command, and then as a procurement budget analyst for the Office of the Comptroller of the Navy. For the next five years, McMillin performed duties as Management Support Director and Executive Director at the Naval Plant Representative Office in Melbourne, Australia. He returned to the Pentagon as a budget analyst for the Defense Business Operations Fund for the Comptroller of the Navy until 1992.

From 1992 to 1997, McMillin served as Technical Director, then as Deputy Director, for Program Analysis and Financial Management at USTRANSCOM. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in August 1997 as USTRANSCOM's Deputy Director for Plans and Policy. He has been assigned to Headquarters U.S. Air Force as the Associate Director of Programs, Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans and Programs, and as the Director of Policy, Planning and Resources in the Office of Warfighting Integration and Chief Information Officer. McMillin also served as the Deputy Director, Air Force Staff, Headquarters U.S. Air Force and as the Deputy Chief, Warfighting Integration and Deputy Chief Information Officer, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force. He served as the Director of Security and Special Program Oversight, Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Arlington, Virginia. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Auditor General of the Air Force, Air Force Audit Agency, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force.
