WILLIAM MAIKISCH

William Maikisch, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Executive Director of the Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif. The center is responsible for Air Force research, design, development and acquisition of space launch, command and control, and satellite items.

Mr. Maikisch began his Air Force career in 1973 with the space and missile systems organization. Since then, he remains actively involved in space systems acquisition. His experience spans every space mission area: early warning, command and control, weather, communication, launch and navigation. Mr. Maikisch has also worked in the contracting, program management and engineering career fields.
