MAJOR GENERAL ALLAN R. POULIN

Maj. Gen. Allan R. Poulin is Special Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga.

General Poulin entered the Air Force in 1970 after receiving his commission from the University of North Carolina's ROTC program. He entered the Air Force Reserve unit program in 1980 after 10 years active duty in a variety of assignments. In the unit program, the general has seen duty as an instructor pilot, flight examiner, flight commander and operations officer. He has served as a squadron commander, and as Vice Commander for the 482nd Fighter Wing. In January 1996, he transitioned to the individual mobilization assistant program with assignments to the commanders of 12th Air Force, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Combat Command. General Poulin has served as the Commander, 10th Air Force, and Vice Commander, Air Force Reserve Command.

General Poulin is a command pilot with more than 4,500 hours in the F-4 Phantom and the F-16 Fighting Falcon, including combat missions over Southeast Asia.
