BRIGADIER GENERAL DWIGHT D. CREASY

Brig. Gen. Dwight Creasy is the Staff Judge Advocate, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He is the principal legal advisor to the AFMC commander and staff. He is responsible for all legal services provided to an organization with approximately 80,000 personnel who manage $60 billion annually in research, development, test and evaluation while providing the acquisition management services and logistics support required to develop, procure, and sustain Air Force weapon systems. He oversees more than 330 attorneys and nearly 200 paralegals at 18 locations.

General Creasy served in the Tennessee Air National Guard from 1971 through 1974, and was commissioned through the ROTC program at the University of Tennessee in 1976. He served in the Air Force Reserve while attending law school. Upon graduation, he began his active-duty Air Force career as a judge advocate in 1979.

The general has served as staff judge advocate at the base, center, numbered air force, sub-unified, major command and joint combatant command levels. He has served in various capacities as assistant staff judge advocate, circuit trial counsel and contract litigator at the Contract Law Center and Headquarters U.S. Air Force. He was the military assistant and special counsel to two Air Force General Counsels.
