BRIGADIER GENERAL DONALD W. BRYAN Brig. Gen. Donald W. Bryan is mobilization assistant to the Commander, Air Force Medical Operations Agency, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. He advises the commander in matters related to the Reserve forces and assists with the commander's responsibility for plans and programs affecting the Air Force Medical Service. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant while in medical school and entered active duty as an orthopedic surgeon in 1974. He has commanded a tactical clinic and a tactical hospital during which his medical organization was selected as the Reserve Outstanding Medical Unit three times. He is active as a Combat Casualty Care Course instructor and an advanced trauma life support instructor. He has held academic positions at three medical schools, including a full-time faculty appointment as an assistant professor. In his civilian occupation, he is chief of orthopedic surgery at a major medical center.
