BRIGADIER GENERAL DANIEL B. FINCHER

Brig. Gen. Daniel B. Fincher is the Commander, Air Force Legal Operations Agency, Andrews Air Force Base, Md. He is responsible for assisting The Judge Advocate General in the administration of military justice throughout the Air Force, and defending the Air Force in civil litigation before federal and state courts and administrative boards. He is also responsible for training Air Force legal professionals through The Judge Advocate General's School, and providing legal information technology support to Air Force legal offices worldwide. The Air Force Legal Operations Agency is organized around a system of Field Support Centers of legal specialists. They include legal experts in aircraft accident investigations, environmental law, labor law, commercial litigation, contract law, medical law, utility litigation, tort law, and the Air Force Claims Service Center.

General Fincher is the son of an Air Force pilot and was commissioned through the direct appointment program. During a break in service in the 1980s, he was a financial consultant.
