Brig. Gen. Kenneth J. Moran is the Director, Program Management and Integration Directorate, Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif. He is the primary advisor to the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Space for weapon system management, acquisition, integration and analysis. He is also responsible to develop and deploy policy, strategies, processes, tools, and training for these functions across the space and missiles systems center. As well as training and equipping over 900 military and civilian program managers executing $8 billion annually.

General Moran entered the Air Force in 1985 through the ROTC program, earning an aeronautical engineering degree from Virginia Tech University. He has served as a flight test engineer for Strategic Air Command and Air Combat Command; chief of an integrated product team in the Air Force Research Laboratory; and Director of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile development at the Air Armament Center. He served as the Deputy Program Director for the Counterair Joint Systems Program Office and commanded the 827th Aircraft Sustainment Group at Tinker AFB, Okla., where he led the total life-cycle management for more than 550 C/KC-135. General Moran was also the Director for Expeditionary Combat Support System and the PEO for enterprise logistics systems where he managed a portfolio with an annual budget of more than $625 million, supporting 250,000 users worldwide.

His staff assignments include program element monitor and executive officer for the Director of Global Power Programs, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, and special assistant to the Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, responsible for leading the command's base realignment and closure activities and all transformation efforts across the materiel enterprise. General Moran also served as AFMC's Inspector General, providing the commander with an independent assessment of the command's operations, readiness, efficiency and effectiveness.
