Terry G. Edwards, a member of the Senior Executive Service, the Director, Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. As AFCEC director, he leads a more-than-1,900-person primary subordinate unit, responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration and readiness and emergency management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide. Mr. Edwards also directly oversees the execution of $11.8 billion in contracts, indirectly controls $49 billion in contract vehicles and manages $7 billion housing and $5 billion Enhanced Use Lease portfolios on an annual basis.

 

Mr. Edwards was commissioned in the Air Force in 1984 through Officer Training School, serving on active duty for 10 years and in the Reserve until he retired in 2005. In his civil service career, he held several positions in the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment at the branch and division levels before becoming the unit’s Director in 2010. Mr. Edwards served as Executive Director, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2010.
