BRIGADIER GENERAL DARYL J. HAUCK Brig. Gen. Daryl J. Hauck is the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Strategic Systems, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. His portfolio of programs and responsibilities include current and future nuclear systems, subsystems and components. This includes all intercontinental ballistic missile demonstrations and validation, modernization efforts, and continuing services efforts. He is also responsible for Air Force nuclear weapons support efforts and all current and future air-launched cruise missile investment programs. General Hauck was commissioned in 1986 following graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He was assigned to the Electronic Systems Center acquiring strategic command and control systems, and later to ASC acquiring aircrew training systems. He served as an Assistant Professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology after completing a doctorate in industrial engineering. He is a distinguished graduate of AFIT and Air Command and Staff College. General Hauck served as a program element monitor and a division chief in the Information Dominance Directorate, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition). He graduated from Air War College with Academic Distinction and was awarded the Douhet-Mitchell International Airpower Trophy. Following graduation, he was assigned to ESC as the Director of Program Execution for the Program Executive Officer for Command and Control and Combat Support. He then commanded the 951st Electronic Systems Group. General Hauck was assigned to ASC as the commander of the 77th Aeronautical Systems Wing. Following that tour, General Hauck served as the ASC vice commander, where he assisted the ASC commander and Air Force Program Executive Officer for Aircraft in leading the Air Force's center of excellence for the acquisition of aeronautical systems.
