LIEUTENANT GENERAL JACQUELINE D. VAN OVOST

Lt. Gen. Jacqueline D. Van Ovost is the Director of Staff, Headquarters Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this role, she synchronizes and integrates policy, plans, positions, procedures and cross functional issues for the headquarters staff.

Prior to assuming her current position, General Van Ovost was the Vice Director, Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this role, she assisted the Director of the Joint Staff and provided oversight to Joint Staff support activities, including administration and action management, budget, support services and security.

General Van Ovost has commanded an air refueling squadron, flying training wing, and the Presidential Airlift Wing. She also served as the Director of Mobility Forces, U.S. Central Command, and as the Vice Commander, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center.

General Van Ovost graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1988. She is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and a command pilot with more than 4,200 hours in over 30 aircraft including the C–32A, C–17A, C– 141B and KC–135R.
