Major General MAJOR GENERAL JOHN M. BREAZEALE

Maj. Gen. John M. Breazeale is the Mobilization Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. He is responsible to the Secretary of the Air Force and the Air Force Chief of Staff for formulating policy supporting air, irregular warfare, counterproliferation, homeland defense, weather and cyber operations. Maj. Gen. Breazeale determines operational requirements, capabilities and training necessary to support national security objectives and military strategy.

Maj. Gen. Breazeale was commissioned in the United States Air Force in 1988 following graduation as a distinguished graduate from the United States Air Force Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He began his Air Force career in June 1988 as a pilot training student at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He transitioned to the Air Force Reserve in May 2002. Maj. Gen. Breazeale has commanded the 84th Test and Evaluation Squadron, the 917th Fighter Group, and the 301st Fighter Wing. He is a command pilot with more than 4,400 flying hours in the F-16 Fighting Falcon and A-10 Thunderbolt II.

Prior to his current assignment, Maj. Gen. Breazeale served as the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
