Major General DAVID W. SNODDY

Maj. Gen. David W. Snoddy is the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Cyber Effects Operations (AF A2/6), Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. Maj. Gen. Snoddy is responsible for the development of more than 36,000 cyber personnel. He balances costs and risks for Air Force cyber effects programs in light of all legislative, Department of Defense and joint policies and directives. Additionally, Maj. Gen. Snoddy is responsible for integrating U.S. Air Force air and cyberspace effects operations capabilities into the joint fight by informing policy, synchronizing relevant efforts and advocating for resources to provide secure, reliable and timely information to joint warfighters.

Maj. Gen. Snoddy graduated from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in technology and a minor in psychology. Upon graduation, he received his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. Maj. Gen. Snoddy's professional experience includes cyberspace operations, policy development, executive services, architecture planning, network operations, and mission systems maintenance. His tactical experience includes service with Joint Task Force-Southwest Asia's Joint Intelligence Center during Operation Southern Watch and as the J6 for a Joint Special Operations Task Force during operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Maj. Gen. Snoddy has commanded the 71st Communications Squadron and the 67th Cyberspace Wing. Prior to his current position, he was the Deputy Director for Current Operations, Headquarters U.S. Cyber Command, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.
