Major General STEPHEN F. JOST

Maj. Gen. Stephen F. Jost is the Commander, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, United States Transportation Command, Norfolk Naval Station, Virginia. He leads a headquarters and the Joint Planning Support Element located at Norfolk Naval Station, and the Joint Communications Support Element located at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. The JECC supports the standup of Joint Task Force Headquarters in response to crises world-wide.

Maj. Gen. Jost received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1994. He is a Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School and is a Command Pilot with more than 2,700 flying hours in the T-37, T-38, F-16C/D and F- 35A. He has flown missions in support of South Korea defense obligations and operations Iraqi Freedom, Southern Watch and Noble Eagle.

Prior to his assignment to the JECC, the general was the Deputy Director, Joint Strategic Planning, Joint Staff J-5, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia.
