BRIGADIER GENERAL GENTRY W. BOSWELL

Brig. Gen. Gentry W. Boswell is the Director of Manpower, Organization and Resources, Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. He leads the management and oversight of the Air Force’s manpower enterprise encompassing more than 694,000 Total Force personnel and the programming of more than $47 billion in annual funding for the manpower portion of the Air Force Program Objective Memorandum. Additionally, he sets standards and policy for strategic manpower sourcing, performance management, organizational structure and manpower data systems.

Brig. Gen. Boswell received his commission in 1991 as a Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force ROTC at Delta State University, Mississippi. His assignments include two wing commands and encompass operational tours in multiple combat aircraft, as well as joint operational and staff duty.

Brig. Gen. Boswell is a weapon systems officer with more than 4,800 hours in the B-1B, B-52, RC-135 and E-6B, including 500 hours of combat time in Southwest Asia, the Balkans and the Horn of Africa. Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Boswell served as the 36th Wing Commander and Deputy Commander Joint Regions Marianas at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam.
