Major General PETE M. FESLER

Maj. Gen. Pete M. Fesler is the Deputy Director of Operations, Headquarters North American Aerospace Defense Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. As the Deputy Director, he is responsible for supporting the execution of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America, to include the Canadian, Alaskan and continental U.S. NORAD Regions within the bi-national command. Maj. Gen. Fesler is also the lead for USNORTHCOM and NORAD Homeland Defense/Continental Defense Cross Functional Team. In this role, he leads the development of a comprehensive design for bi-national, all-domain defense of North America.

Maj. Gen. Fesler graduated in 1994 from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science, and earned his commission through ROTC the same year. He is a graduate of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies, and is a Distinguished Graduate of both the Naval Postgraduate School and National War College.

Maj. Gen. Fesler has served in a variety of flying and non-flying operational, educational and staff assignments, including multiple tours in both the F-15C and F-22A. He has commanded at both squadron and wing levels. Prior to his current assignment, Maj. Gen. Fesler was stationed at Langley AFB, Virginia, where he commanded the most historic wing in the U.S. Air Force, the 1st Fighter Wing.

Maj. Gen. Fesler is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School, and a command pilot with more than 2,200 hours, primarily in the F-15C and F-22A. He has participated in multiple deployments, numerous joint and coalition exercises, and has flown more than 50 combat missions in the skies over Iraq.
