Brig. Gen. Mark V. Slominski is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He assists the Commander in executing Air and Space Force installation and mission support, discovery and development, test and evaluation, life cycle management services and sustainment of virtually every major weapon system. The command employs 89,000 people and manages $72 billion of budget authority annually. Brig. Gen. Slominski ensures the effective presentation of Ready Reserve forces across all echelons of Air Force Materiel Command, supporting 10 other Mobilization Assistants and 1,400 Individual Mobilization Augmentees assigned to the major command including those aligned to the United States Space Force.
Brig. Gen. Slominski was commissioned in 1994 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Duke University, where he earned undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering and history. During his Air Force career, he served at base level, major command, primary supporting unit and headquarters positions. This includes active-duty service as well as reserve assignments as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee and traditional reservist. He has command experience at multiple levels, including Readiness Flight Commander, IMA to the Civil Engineer Operations Flight Commander, IMA to the Civil Engineer Squadron Commander, Commander of the 366th Civil Engineer Squadron during extended active duty and Commander of the 922nd Civil Engineer Staff Augmentation Team.
