BRIGADIER GENERAL LESLIE A. BEAVERS

Brig. Gen. Leslie A. Beavers is the Mobilization Assistant to the Vice Commander, Sixteenth Air Force (Air Forces Cyber), Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. She is responsible for more than 44,000 personnel conducting worldwide operations. Sixteenth Air Force Airmen deliver multisource intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance products, applications, capabilities and resources. In addition, they build, extend, operate, secure and defend the Air Force portion of the Department of Defense global network. The Sixteenth Air Force includes the 9th Reconnaissance Wing, 55th Wing, 67th Cyberspace Wing, 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, 319th RW, 363rd ISRW, 480th ISRW, 688th CW, Air Force Technical Applications Center and all Air Force cryptologic operations.

Brig. Gen. Beavers is a 1991 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. She began her career as a Flight Commander with the 6993rd Electronic Security Squadron in San Antonio, where she led a group of 80 Army, Air Force and Department of Defense civilian employees, providing 24-hour, real-time intelligence and analytical products to national command authorities. After transitioning from active duty to the Air Force Reserve, she spent five years as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee assigned to Joint Detachment San Diego, Joint Intelligence Center Pacific, working to maintain the Modernized Integrated Database.

At her previous assignment, as the commander of the 50th Intelligence Squadron, Beale Air Force Base, California, Brig. Gen. Beavers led a classic associate unit in support of the Distributed Ground Station-2 component of the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System. Under her leadership, the squadron received recognition as the Air Force Reserve Command’s ISR Unit of the Year for 2012 and 2013. In her civilian capacity, the general has served as a corporate executive and consults with corporate executive leadership teams on organizational efficiency and turnarounds.
