Major General MICHAEL R. DROWLEY

Maj. Gen. Michael R. Drowley is the Commander, Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. Maj. Gen. Drowley reports directly to the Air Force Chief of Staff regarding the test and evaluation of more than 98 major acquisition programs valued at more than $1 trillion, which are being assessed at 17 different locations, and he directs the activities of more than 750 military, civilian and contractor personnel. As a key leader of the test and evaluation community, Maj. Gen. Drowley coordinates directly with the offices of the Secretary of Defense and Department of the Air Force while executing realistic, objective and impartial operational testing and evaluation of Air Force, Space Force, coalition and joint warfighting capabilities.

Maj. Gen. Drowley earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 1996. He is a command pilot with more than 2,400 flight hours in the A-10, including more than 200 combat hours. Maj. Gen. Drowley has commanded at the flight, squadron, group and wing levels. Additionally, he has served on the staffs of the Superintendent, United States Air Force Academy, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and as Chief of Staff, Headquarters United States Air Force Central Command, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Prior to his current assignment, Maj. Gen. Drowley served as the Director, Joint Training and Exercises (J7), U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Camp Smith, Hawaii.
