Wayne L. Johnson, a Senior Level Executive, is Technical Advisor for Low Observables, Engineering Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Mr. Johnson provides technical oversight, advice and guidance in low observable technology to the highest Air Force and government officials.
Mr. Johnson has more than 35 years of experience in LO aircraft development, test, production and sustainment. He entered federal service in 1983 as a cooperative education student in the Mission Analysis branch of the Aeronautical Systems Division at Wright-Patterson AFB. Later, LO assignments included the B-2 and F-22 System Program Offices, and the Special Programs Division, where he served as the LO lead engineer for the Long Range Strike Bomber program. As the Technical Advisor for LO for AFLCMC Engineering, he trained and mentored the AFLCMC LO workforce, and provided expert LO advice to multiple Air Force program offices.
In his most recent position, Mr. Johnson was responsible for technical performance, systems engineering and airworthiness for an advanced technology portfolio in the AFLCMC Special Programs division. He organized and hosted an annual government and industry review of program status, test results and future plans, involving senior leadership from multiple Air Force and other agencies, as well as prime contractor and vendor VP-level leadership.
