Brigadier General JENNIE R. JOHNSON

Brig. Gen. Jennie R. Johnson is the Director, Air Force Reserve Personnel, Headquarters U.S Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. She is responsible for developing and integrating Air Force Reserve personnel and services programs and policies to meet Total Force strategic objectives. She is charged with the responsibility to position the Air Force Reserve to support combatant commander requirements worldwide by managing resources affecting a budget of nearly $450 million for accessions, recruiting, retention, education, training, force structure, sustainment, compensation and benefits impacting 360,000 reservists and their dependents worldwide.
 
Brig. Gen. Johnson entered the Air Force through the Direct Appointment Program in September 1994. After an assignment as an assistant staff judge advocate, she attended Joint Undergraduate Navigator Training to become a C-130 navigator. She entered the United States Air Force Reserve in 2003 after nine years on active duty. Since then, she has held leadership positions at the squadron, group, wing and center levels and had staff duty at the Numbered Air Force and Air Staff levels. During her most recent deployment, she served as the Director of Mobility Forces, Air Force Central Command.
 
Prior to her current position, Brig. Gen. Johnson the Mobilization Assistant to the Air Force Director of Staff, Headquarters, United States Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In her civilian capacity, she has served corporate clients for 19 years at one of the four largest professional services networks in the world.
